They probably hate Canada because he is portrayed as weak and unimportant. In reality the country is Americas biggest trade partner and its people are very hardy (kind and laid-back, but still tough as nails).
My only complaint is that Arthur isn't in the middle. But that's a personal preference from someone who likes to view these three as daddy and his two sons. *shrugs*
